How To Design A Good Online Dating Profile

Now that you have your photos sorted out for your dating profile, the next step is filling out your profile. Unfortunately, not everyone will actually read your profile; the majority will pick and choose solely based on your profile pics alone. Luckily, not all are like that. Here are a few pointers for setting up the best dating profile.

The headline is the second biggest attention grabber apart from your main photo. This is a one-liner that you use to grab someone's attention and entice them into clicking on your profile and reading everything in it. What you put here is really up to you. Most people go with something simple and boring such as, "please pick me". Let's be honest, that really isn't going to get anyone to click on your profile. You can try a simple joke, a movie quote or song lyrics. Maybe ask a silly question that begs for an answer (without sounding too needy). Whatever you choose, make sure it is something that will make your profile stand out above the rest; something that will make others laugh or make them really think, "wow, this person sounds like my type of woman!"

Profile Information

Most online dating sites have a short questionnaire for you to fill out first. This typically covers basic information such as age, location, children, job, dating status..etc.. Once you get the basics out of the way, you can add more as you please. Some sites will have additional sections for you to fill out while others may just have blank space for you to write in.

Again, what you write in these spaces is completely up to you. Just do not leave it blank. I can't tell you how many times I have clicked on a profile only to see the words, "hmu if you want" or, "I will fill this out later". Really guys? Come on, put a little bit of effort into it!

In these spaces, you can write a short summary about yourself; your likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies..etc. Some people choose to make a list of what they are looking for or what they are not looking for. Please, also, don't write an entire novel! No one is going to take the time to read a whole book. You don't want to put anyone to sleep and you may come off as being a tad bit narcissistic if you write too much. Make it short and to the point. If you include too much information in your online dating profile, what will you have to chat about?? Become a mystery writer; entice them to send you a message to find out more. Don't sound desperate but also, don't come off as being a salty bitch or a conceited cunt who thinks she is too good for anyone. Just. No.

There is no right or wrong when it comes to making your internet dating profile. Show some of your personality, sound warm, friendly, and a tad interesting so that someone will decide to click that chat button and give you a chance.
